Twenty-four answers, no phone call required.
Grouped by what people actually ask us at the front desk. If your question is not here, call (303) 555-0142 or email and a dentist will answer — not a chatbot.
New patients
Plan for about an hour. A short tour, ten minutes on your history and what has gone wrong at dentists before, then digital X-rays, intraoral photos and a gum screening. You leave with a written one-page plan — nothing is booked in the room unless you ask.
Exam, full digital X-ray series and a standard cleaning are covered by a flat new-patient fee if you have no insurance — ask the front desk for the current fee. With most major PPO plans it is covered in full. If you need a deeper cleaning we will tell you the cost before starting, not after.
Give us your previous dentist when you book. We send the release, chase the X-rays and have them on screen before you arrive so you are not re-imaged unnecessarily.
Yes — ask for a family block. Up to four family members in adjacent rooms, back to back, usually first thing in the morning or right after school.
Insurance & payment
Most major PPO plans, and we also see children on state children's plans. Tell the front desk your plan name when you book and we will run a free benefits check before your first visit.
We still treat you and still file the claim on your behalf. Most major PPO plans reimburse out-of-network care at a reduced rate; we estimate your share in writing before treatment.
Third-party payment plans over fixed terms, in-house splitting of larger plans across two benefit years, and a monthly membership plan for uninsured patients covering two cleanings, exams and X-rays. Ask the front desk for the current fee.
Always, in writing, with your benefits applied. If a plan changes mid-treatment — a crack turns out to be deeper than the image showed — we stop, explain and re-quote before continuing.
Comfort & dental anxiety
Tell us when you book and we will schedule a longer, no-treatment first visit: sit up, talk, look at photos, leave. Numbing gel before injections, nitrous on request, and a hand signal that stops everything, immediately, every time.
Nitrous oxide for adults and children, and oral conscious sedation for longer restorative appointments. Full IV sedation is referred to an anaesthetist we work with regularly, who sees patients in our building on Thursdays.
Not usually. If your gums are inflamed it can be tender, so we offer topical anaesthetic and will split the cleaning across two visits rather than push through.
Yes to both. Most patients bring their own music; we have blankets, sunglasses for the light, and room for someone to sit beside you.
Emergencies
Two slots are held empty every weekday for emergencies. Call the practice before 3pm and we can almost always see you the same day.
Swelling, a knocked-out or loosened tooth, a broken tooth with sharp edges or exposed nerve, bleeding that will not stop, a lost crown or filling causing pain, or pain that keeps you awake.
Hold it by the crown, not the root. Rinse gently with milk or saline if dirty, and either place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Call us immediately — the first 30 minutes matter most.
The emergency line routes to the on-call dentist seven days a week. You will normally hear back within the hour.
Treatments & technology
Yes — our in-house ceramic mill makes same-visit crowns standard for most cases. No temporary crown, no three-week wait, no second numbing appointment.
Placed here. Dr. Ellison plans with our CBCT scanner and places under guided surgery; restoration happens in the same practice with the same records.
Most cases can go either way. Clear aligners suit self-motivated teens; fixed braces are better for complex bite work or where compliance is a worry. We will show you both plans and the cost difference.
Bitewings every 18–24 months for low-risk adults, more often if you have active decay or gum disease. We follow current professional guidance and will explain why any image is needed.
Location & parking
Free covered parking on level P1 with the entrance on 12th Street. Validate at reception if the barrier asks.
Yes — step-free entrance from Alder Street, lift to the second floor, and wheelchair-accessible operatories and restroom.
